Unlimited design of Haupt Lakrits Christmas calendar 2024
Client: Haupt Lakrits

Haupt Lakrits AB, known for their crazy flavor combinations of licorice and their equally crazy graphic identity, enlisted the help of Avisera’s graphic designers to create an updated design for their 2024 Christmas calendar. The goal of the assignment was to create a Christmas calendar that both reinforces Haupt’s brand identity and engages their target audience in an innovative way.

Process

Avisera started the project with a creative meeting with the client. Based on the client’s brief and inspirational images, we formed a clear idea of the feel and style that would characterize the calendar. The process included research, development of an idea and design proposal, and creation of all the graphic elements needed.

Result

Since Avisera was also commissioned to produce the calendars, we were able to develop a design that was optimized from the start based on the printing template, cost efficiency and construction. The result was a creative Christmas calendar in three different parts: sleeve, outer packaging and inner box.

Illustration for Dahls Bageri
Customer: Bageri & Café i Väst

When Dahls Bageri commissioned Avisera to produce a sustainable reusable bag, the customer wanted help with design. The bag needed to have a wide bottom to ensure safe transport of larger cakes, while at the same time highlighting the brand in a more memorable way through an illustration of a princess cake printed in only one color – white.

Process

Avisera developed several design proposals based on a basic sketch provided by the client. After several proofs, an illustration was developed where dots symbolize powdered sugar and contribute to a playful and elegant aesthetic. The side bellows were filled with informative text to create an overall solution that was not only visually appealing but also practically useful.

Result

The finished bag combines function and design and fulfills Dahls Bageri’s need for sustainable packaging that highlights their brand identity and creates a positive customer experience.

Effective design with simple means
Client: Hudoteket

Hudoteket, a well-known beauty salon and online shop, wanted to add a touch of magic to their annual advent calendar for Christmas 2024. Using their iconic building facade as a base, they wanted to create a design that reflected the playful theme of “Christmas Candy Land” while staying true to the brand’s identity.

Avisera was tasked with revitalizing the design by incorporating new elements that were both visually appealing and cohesive with the Hudoteket brand. We started the project with consultation to ensure that the client’s vision and theme were properly captured. A playful layout was developed where awnings, candy canes, lollipops, Christmas wreaths and snowflakes interacted to create an imaginative facade. An initial design proposal was presented to the client, and after receiving feedback, the details were adjusted to produce a final digital proof.

Process

As Avisera is also Hudoteket’s production partner, great emphasis was placed on ensuring the right shade of red in the print production, to complement the white text and gold foil of the calendar. By producing pre-production samples (PPS) where two Pantone shades were tested, the customer got a clearer picture of how the colors interacted with the gold foil on the physical product. After careful review, the final color combination was selected and production began.

Result

The goal was to create a visually appealing and thematic Christmas calendar that could convey Hudoteket’s brand and Christmas feeling. Through a structured process and close collaboration, a design was delivered that combined the client’s wishes and creative ideas into a unique and memorable calendar.

Sharp lines for a stronger brand
Client: Culör by Cornelia

When Culör by Cornelia was planning the production of their paper bags, Avisera was asked to vectorize their logo.

Process

By converting the logo from raster graphics to scalable vector graphics, we were able to ensure a high-quality print result for the boxes.

Result

The vectorization not only contributed to a neat and professional finish on the paper box, but also opened up opportunities for Culör by Cornelia to use its logo in other contexts in the future. With a scalable graphic, the logo can be applied to everything from small business cards to large signs, without compromising on quality or clarity.

This solution combines form and function, reinforcing the brand’s expression in both print and digital media.

Advent calendar with a perfect fit
Customer: Hickap

Hickap needed a tailor-made solution for their 2024 advent calendar. The different products to be included required inner packaging in different sizes, which made it a challenge to create a harmonious and functional whole.

Process

Avisera took on the task of optimizing the size of the calendar’s gaps. Through careful measurements of Hickap’s products, we were able to develop a unique “grid system” that ensured that each slot had the correct dimensions. This system allowed for a perfectly square shape of the finished calendar, while minimizing the number of different inner package sizes.

Result

The goal was to create an advent calendar where all the parts fit together perfectly. By using our design service, we were able to deliver a solution that was not only aesthetically pleasing but also cost-effective. By limiting the number of inner packaging sizes to just four, Hickap was able to optimize its production and reduce its costs.
