PPWR is the EU’s new regulatory framework for packaging and packaging waste. The regulation sets requirements for, among other things, documentation, labelling, recyclability and producer responsibility for packaging within the EU.

On August 12, 2026, producer responsibility will change, which means that many brand owners will now have greater responsibility for the packaging they put on the market.
